04 Hotel Confirmation Emails
Technically, confirmation emails cannot be used to up-sell because the recipient has not opted into marketing emails. However, they are a valuable way to establish a relationship, particularly with any OTA guests. They also reduce the likelihood of cancellations. These emails are sent as soon as the trip is booked.

The main goal is to confirm the details of a guest's stay. Second, the email collects information on guest preferences that can enhance the stay and be used in up-selling and cross-selling.
AUDIENCE WHO GETS EMAILS:
Main audience is people who booked direct through the hotel's website. Other recipients can be guests who booked through an OTA as long as OTA allows communication between the hotel and guest.
CONTENT AND DESIGN:
Emails include full reservation details, a link to concierge or online survey, and a subscribe CTA.
If your hotel mailing list is strong, you can distinguish between returning guests and first-time guests. It makes sense to adjust the copy for these two groups.

Download the zip files. Each one contains an HTML file, a text version, and placeholder images.
