01 Hotel Abandoned Cart Emails

Download the zip files. Each one contains an HTML file, a text version, and placeholder images.

The cart abandonment rate for hotels is 70%. Most hotel booking engines do not collect an email until the payment phase. As a result, hotels miss out on a substantial amount of business. Hotels could recoup about one-third of this lost revenue if they used abandoned cart emails.
1) First email is sent within one hour of cart abandonment
2) Second email with countdown timer is sent the following day
The main goal is to recapture abandoned bookings. A secondary goal is to get opt-ins to the hotel's email list.

People who visit the website and enter the booking engine with an accommodations choice.
CONTENT AND DESIGN:
Both emails include the reservation/accommodation details and a subscribe button.
This email sequence requires capturing the website visitor's email before they enter the booking engine. A popup can handle this.

These are transactional emails that are intended to facilitate the booking. They are automated and triggered by the cart abandonment.

The recipients are not on the email list, although they can subscribe to the list.
Are there any personalization (merge) tags in the template?
There is no personalization in these templates although there could be if the capture email obtains a first name.
Are there any dynamically replaced elements (not merge tags) in this template?

Are there any third-party features?
The countdown timer is third-party code. It creates a sense of urgency based on FOMO.
